Noa Anker leads Teva's Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) manufacturing and operations team, and is part of the Global Operations Leadership Team. She provides insight into her management style, why Teva is her second home and what she enjoys most about the company

My name is Noa Anker, and I recently became the Head of Teva's Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) Manufacturing & Supply Operations organization, and joined the Global Operations Leadership Team.

I was born and raised in the south of Israel, and remember being a shy and quiet child. My Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering is from Ben-Gurion University in Beer Sheva. Following my graduation, I joined Teva.

I started out as a process engineer and immediately fell in love with the company. For me, Teva is a second home. I enjoy the professionalism and aspiration to always be the best in our field. This is why my personal drive fits perfectly at Teva. I am who I am today thanks in part to my career here.

The team I am leading is in charge of manufacturing the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, the part of any drug that produces the intended effects. We have over 4,000 employees in 14 sites around the world, from India, through Israel and Europe and all the way to Mexico. Our active ingredients are being used in a variety of products – tablets and capsules, respiratory inhalers and injections, to name just a few.

We produce and market around 350 API molecules, and we specialize in a wide range of expertise and technologies, including fermentation, peptides, steroids, high potency, synthetics, sterile, vitamins and more. We always want to be "best in class" and bring to the market the highest quality medicines. I think we are doing a great job in this area, as well as in customer service and providing products on time.

We are succeeding first and foremost thanks to our people. They are the ones that make things happen. In my 19 years with Teva, in every position I held, what I found to be special was the amazing teamwork. There is no ego here in Teva, and everyone knows that we must rely on each other and support one another to serve patients and customers and deliver for our company.

I put a lot of thought into my management style. I like leading people, listening to different opinions and providing the freedom to operate under the right guidance and direction. My door is always open and I want to hear employees' voices. It is a priority for me to encourage cooperation, teamwork and togetherness to deliver results and achieve achievements.

I am married to Nadav and mother to Idan, Yoav and Hila. On the weekends, we like spending family time together and enjoy solving puzzles, such as escape rooms and others.
