Birgit's History with the Condition

When Birgit was diagnosed with MS, her whole life changed. She didn't know what was happening – only that a massive shift had happened. But she has come a long way since.

She works with her business partner in her company, Manufaktur für Antworten UG (Manufactory for Answers), which she founded after being diagnosed in 2005.

Birgit started her blog in 2007. She voluntarily supports the European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP) as an Advisor on Patient Issues. She is also a co-lead of the Digital Media & Health Topic Group at the European Medicines Agency.

Birgit works as a Social Media and Communication Expert, Journalist, and Speaker. She specializes in healthcare, with more than 15 years of experience in the field. She is involved in several healthcare-related advisory boards, committees, and focus groups.
