Lesley enjoys spending time with family and friends, skiing, golfing, and photography. When she's not working, she enjoys advocating for mental health issues, particularly those surrounding schizophrenia.
Lesley was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2016, but symptoms such as auditory hallucinations began in 2015. Since her diagnosis, she has been a peer supporter for mental health, achieved a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, and works as a Clinical Therapist.
When Lesley’s not working, she speaks publicly about living with schizophrenia in hopes of reducing the stigma associated with the illness.
"I have been living with schizophrenia for 8 years and have been able to fulfill quite a few goals and dreams despite my diagnosis. It's important for people to understand that living well with schizophrenia is possible.”
