Teena also has a taste for adventure and has climbed some of the world’s highest mountains, as well as kayaking on the Nile, cycling through Uganda and engaging in long-distance open-sea swimming around Ireland.
In her book ‘One Foot In Front Of Another’ she catalogues her own battle with obesity, in which she lost ten stone in one year, in an effort to return to better personal health.
More recently she has become a full time carer for her 95 year-old father, Terry, who suffers with vascular dementia following a fall in 2018. She blogs about her life with Terry and their rescue companion “GoogleDog” as part of a growing movement towards #MakingCaringVisible.
