Terms and conditions

Spain has one of the best health systems in the world, and this is thanks to the work of the great professionals who make it up and who dedicate a good part of their time to the constant improvement of the health of the population. Working together and in collaboration with patients or patients' associations, they promote projects of great value that frame the processes of prevention, cure or palliation of diseases in an environment of affectivity and proximity.

From TEVA FORO SOCIAL we believe that it is important to give greater visibility and support to those initiatives that go beyond and that, in parallel to the search for healthcare excellence, try to contribute to what we call “Humanizando la Sanidad”, thus contributing with values ethics, humanity and closeness to the assistance itself.

Therefore, from Teva Spain we want to recognize the work of projects that, as a common denominator, have in their focus the improvement of the quality of life of patients, through the creation of frames that contribute to improving the already difficult path of healing or palliation of a certain disease, knowing that an environment and a more effective, close and human treatment can contribute decisively in more positive results for the patient.

Bases of the Call:

REQUIREMENTS OF PARTICIPANTS

1. Through the “Humanizando la Sanidad” Awards, Teva Pharma S.L.U. (hereinafter, TEVA) wants to recognize the work of those institutions, public or private, that develop projects, activities and solidarity initiatives that contribute to overcome the difficult experience of the disease in the best possible way, creating a comfortable and safe environment for the patients and their families; eliminating fears, supporting them psychologically and humanizing the hospital processes, in order to help them distract themselves from their illness and to have a positive attitude (henceforth, the Projects). In this sense, only those Projects that meet the previous objective shall be considered.
   
   
2. It shall be essential that applicants submit their applications before 00:00 hours on June 1, 2018, by sending an e-mail to comunicación@tevaes.com, in which they must attach the following documentation:
   
   
   • Presentation of the Project, in which all the information of the initiative that is developed is included.
   • Contact information and information of the institution that manages the Project
   • Any other complementary documentation considered of interest to be eligible for the prize.
     
     
3. In order for the participating entities to be validated by the internal processes required by TEVA, they must provide documentation certifying their legal status, such as a deed of incorporation or resolution to create the organization in question. Likewise, they shall have to attach a copy of their statutes to be evaluated and certified by TEVA and verify that the participating entity has no profit motive.
   
   
4. The sending of the Project by any means other than the indicated mail, after the deadline, or missing part of the information that must be attached according to point 2 of these rules, shall be automatic cause for exclusion without any communication to the interested.
   
   
5. Each application must be composed of a single Project, although said Project may be presented by several entities jointly. In case of being awarded a Project submitted by several entities, the prize shall be distributed proportionally among all participating entities.
   
   
6. The presentation of a candidate project for the Humanizando la Sanidad 2018 Awards implies the full and express acceptance of these rules.

PROCESS AND SELECTION CRITERIA

1. Among the participating projects, TEVA shall pre-select discarding those Projects that do not meet the requirements established in these rules. For the “Humanizando la Sanidad 2018” awards to be held, there must be a minimum of 20 candidate projects that exceed this pre-selection.
   
   
2. Once the Projects that do not meet the requirements of these rules have been discarded, the rest of the Candidate Projects will go through the selection process, which will be carried out in two phases:

• In a first round, a committee made up of representatives from different areas of TEVA shall select the finalist projects. In this first selection, it shall be taken into account, among others, the innovative nature of the Project, its purpose and social impact, as well as the target group.
  
  
• The finalist projects shall pass to a second round of selection in which the employees of TEVA shall vote, through a secret voting system, those Projects that they consider should be awarded. The eleven Projects that have received the most votes from TEVA employees will be the awarded Projects.
  
  In case there are not eleven Projects that have received any vote, only those Projects that have received any vote from TEVA employees shall be awarded.
  
  In case it is necessary to resolve a draw to select the eleven winning candidates, the committee mentioned in the previous section shall be submitted to resolve the tie by selecting as many awarded projects as necessary to reach the figure of eleven.

PRIZES

1. The awarded projects shall be awarded with an economic endowment of 3,000 euros.
   
   
2. The awards ceremony shall be held at a public event organized by TEVA that shall take place on October 04, 2018, although TEVA reserve the right to modify the date of the celebration, which must previously notify all the awarded projects. The beneficiaries of the economic endowment shall be the legal persons that have carried out the awarded projects and presented the candidatures. The presence of a representative of these entities in the awards ceremony shall be essential to receive the prize.
   
   
3. The prizes shall be awarded as a donation for the development of the awarded projects. For this purpose, a donation agreement will be signed between TEVA and the awarded entities.
   
   
4. Teva may disseminate the prizes awarded, through the media and publications it deems appropriate, in order to transmit the objectives and activities developed. Participants express their express and unequivocal consent to participate in the Humanizing Health Awards 2018 so that the data they provide to TEVA, including their image, are published on the TEVA website and provided to third parties for dissemination.
   
   
5. TEVA reserve the option to cancel the “Humanizando la Sanidad 2018 Awards” at any time and in its sole discretion.
